As you may have noticed recently, The Booklet has a new website. We love to say we've gotten a new house, for us, it's a big deal. It's a project which took months to carry out and was only possible with the help of an extraordinary team. We're happy about the result and know it's only for the best. Le Cahier is now 5 years old, we dreamt it, built it and made it possible. We are the two main pillars behind this incredible project, yet we are surrounded by a team of contributors since the very first day such as JP, our main geek. Looking back, we can't help ourselves but thing how things have changed, our family has grown. Some members of this family have left us, others joined us. But us, we're still here, stronger than ever. Even that Viv actually quit and came back only a few short months afterwards, but in truth, never fully let go while she was on leave.
We're like an iconic duo, a strong one that may be. We both have our strengths, talents and different interests. The more time flies, the more we notice it. And it's for the best: we complete one another.
At the office, Camille works on the marketing aspect of the brand, yet, as for content... it's democracy that thrives : we all work together. At Codmorse, Viv manages a team of contributors who writes for the blog. However, during meetings, all opinions matter. Here's what we want to translate say : a plurality of visions regarding reality allows us to grow. Which is where our duo performs at best. We question ourselves, we argue with one another, get annoyed, but in the end, we know when to admit we were in the wrong.
Several have asked us if we're truly friends or simply work colleagues. We laugh just hearing this. Obviously we're friends outside of work! Is it easy to work with a very close friend everyday day? No. Does it require lots of patience and perspective? Obviously. But we're able to do so, take a step back and make compromises. Because we know deep down it would be near damn impossible to find another job that is as creative, fun or even working alongside an amazing individual such as us.
As for the look, we're both wearing the same t-shirt from Dailystory Clothing, which has " soulmate " written on the latter with a drawing of a pinky swear. Über cute indeed. We're inviting you to discover this Montreal based brand if it hasn't been done - the latter specializes itself in statement tees. Viv has in fact a soft spot for their latest model with the " Femme moderne " inscription. We completed the look with jeans from Tristan and sneakers from Skechers (which we have to say that are super light and comfy). Viv owns a pair in black that are truly versatile and Cam opted for a colourful floral slip-on inspired model.
Which one do you like best?
